Our Story
Baoshi’s story is rooted in family, tradition, and a passion for bringing people together over great food. It all started in the summer of 2015 when our family opened Gold Marquess Fine Chinese Cuisine, a banquet-style restaurant in the heart of Pembroke Pines. For years, we poured our hearts into creating a place where families and friends could gather around a table, share a meal, and celebrate special moments.
As time passed, we noticed something: while the food scene was booming in places like Miami and Fort Lauderdale, there weren’t many options closer to home that truly captured the diverse and exciting flavors of Asia. We often heard from our guests—many of whom had become like family—that they wished for a place with more variety, more energy, and a fresh new dining experience right here in west Broward.
Inspired by these conversations, we knew it was time to evolve. We wanted to create something new—something that felt like an adventure with every visit. And so, Baoshi Food Hall + Bar was born. More than just a place to eat, Baoshi is a vibrant gathering spot where you can explore the bold, authentic flavors of Asia without having to travel far. The name 宝石 (Bǎoshí) means “precious gem,” and that’s exactly what we set out to create—a hidden gem in the community, where every visit feels like a journey through the bustling night markets of Asia.
